I finished the fingerless gloves
from Simple Crocheting
on Sunday. Overall, i'm pretty happy with them. They fit me well enough that they will probably stay up.
I used #3 thread in place of the DK called for and made a couple adjustments so they were able to go over my elbow. I started them on an H hook before switching to the G called for and made the main body of them longer. The pattern calls for switching to an E hook for the wrist and hand but found that to be too snug so i froged the E hook part and rehooked it with an F.
I had forst bought the thread for a different arm warmer project that needed less and I ran out a little more than halfway done with the second glove. I got more but the first two skeins had sat in my sunny living room for a while and there is a noticable difference between the older and newly purchased yarn. I'm going to leave the gloves in the window with the faded parts covered to fade the new thread to match.
